In 2009, I moved to Austin, MN. As a 7th grader I competed as a varsity all-arounder for Austin High School (AHS). My coaches were Mark Raymond, Amy Hajek & Mat Schmit. My high school gymnastics team is very competitive and has had some great success. We have won our Section Meet and qualified for the Team State Tournament 4 of the 5 seasons. I have competed as an all-arounder in all 4 Team State appearances, as well as qualifying individually for all 5 seasons I have been on the high school team. In the 2012-2013 gymnastics season my team had an undefeated regular season winning the True Team MN State Title, our Big 9 Conference Meet, as well as our Section Meet. In the State Tournament we took home the bronze medals. I spent the summer of 2013 back in Vancouver, WA training at Naydenov Gymnastics, being coached, once again, by Erika Bakacs and Dimitri Taskov.
I am entering my senior year at AHS. In addition to my high school classes, I will be taking PSEO classes through Riverland Community college in Austin, MN. I enjoy taking part in the National Honor Society, CHAI, Youth Leadership, and being a leader for the REACH program at AHS. I am also a part of Link Crew, and Captains Council, as well as playing softball and soccer. Next year I plan to go to a University and study Sports Psychology. I am very excited with the opportunities that lay ahead of me in the sport of gymnastics. Being a college gymnast has always been a dream of mine and I am working hard to make it my reality.
